Antique Gun Powder Flask Japan Samurai Edo period For Daiteppou Canon

The family crests of Hoshi umebachi  are painted on it.

It is considerably larger than a regular gunpowder container, so I think it was used for firearms larger than a hand cannon.

There is some damage, such as the leather covering the gunpowder container has been scraped off.
