The inspection stamp of the Qingdao Branch of the Navy’s First Supply Department is sewn onto the bottom of the bag. This bag was issued to Sailor in Sasebo in May of Showa 20. Perhaps due to supply shortages caused by the worsening war situation, the small storage pocket that had previously been attached to the bag has been removed, resulting in a simpler design.
There are signs that the shoulder straps have been re-sewn in several places, suggesting that they have been heavily used.
